I believe my writing has improved throughout the semester. One specific area I believe I improved on is the preparation of my writing. Before, when a writing project would be assigned I would push it off and let myself think about it later. Now, I start to think about more specific ideas while the professor assigns the project . For example, when we went over the project where we analyzed a song or poem, I immediately began to think about all my favorite songs or poems that I could analyze. I know most people may have done this but I am a big procrastinator so this is a great improvement on my part. 

One area that has room for growth is writing thesis statements and summarizing my writing in conclusions without repeating my introduction too much. I tend to use the same phrases that I use in the introduction in my conclusions. I can also improve on creating thesis statements that hold a strong claim.
