This Blogger site will play host to our class blog. Unlike the Canvas responses, the blog posts will be a space for you to explore beyond the boundaries of academic writing a bit more and won’t necessarily be tied to the readings of a given week. Often you will be asked to respond to prompts in the form of a free-write or journaling, list-making, etc. This space will be a bit freer for you to play with your authorial voice, your tone, your word choice, your pacing and rhythms. There will still be some bounds you must stick to (i.e. word counts, at least loosely responding to the prompt), but ultimately, the blog should feel like a less academically bound space for you to create written work.

Blog posts are due most Fridays as labeled on the course calendar. To earn enough points via blog posts to meet the participation requirement for passing, you will need to complete at least half of the required 10 posts.

Have fun. Get creative. Include photos, GIFs, hashtags, links to off-site pages, anything that will help you as you craft your writing into a place for meaning-making.
